Base3 is now an NCSC Assured Service Provider for the Cyber Advisor scheme – confirmed by the National Cyber Security Centre, the UK government body responsible for cyber security guidance and support across the country. Here’s what that means for the businesses we work with.
What is the Cyber Advisor scheme?
The Cyber Advisor scheme is run by the National Cyber Security Centre – the UK government body responsible for providing cyber security guidance and support across the country. The scheme exists to connect small and medium businesses with a trusted, independently verified network of cyber security providers.
Being included on the scheme isn’t a self-declaration. Assured Service Providers are assessed against NCSC standards before being approved, and are listed publicly on the NCSC website so that businesses can find and verify them directly. It sits alongside other NCSC assured schemes as part of the government’s broader effort to raise the baseline of cyber security across UK organisations.
What this means for Base3 customers
For businesses working with Base3 on Cyber Essentials or Cyber Essentials Plus certification, this accreditation provides an additional layer of confidence. Our status as an NCSC Assured Service Provider means our capability and approach have been independently verified at a national level – not just by us.
Combined with our existing credentials as an approved Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certification body, our JOSCAR registration, and our ISO 9001:2015 certification, this represents a clear and independently verified picture of how Base3 operates.
What’s next for Base3 as an NCSC Assured Service Provider
As an NCSC Assured Service Provider, Base3 will be listed on the NCSC’s Products and Services directory, making it straightforward for organisations to find and verify us as a trusted supplier.
